it's Piet coming to the Splinter, December 4th!

So we have this celebration called 'Sinterklaas' every year here in the Netherlands. It's like santa claus, but a little bit different.

So we decided to celebrate things big this year! Kafee de Splinter (Venlo) will be the place where all this will happen. There will be a special Sinterklaas decoration, giveaways, a dresscode (with contest) and special DJ Pieten!

The coolest, phattest, biggest house & electro will be spinned by DJ Sanjo (Blok10 horst) and dial D for Deejays (as zwarte piet).

Make sure you'll be there at December 4th and make it a helluva party!

Doors are open from 22.45 till 03.45. Free entrance!

Time flies by! It's amazing how quickly a month goes by nowadays.

But that's a good thing, because our new edition of h00kers of House will be here even sooner! We will rock together with special guest Mickey C, Kafee de Splinter (Venlo) on saturday November 20!!

Mickey C is a hard working producer and dj who is about to finish his study on the pop academy in Tilburg. He allready released a few records on the label 'First Class Music' and is about to release his first EP soon. His most recent work -a remix for Alvita- is currently #27 at the dancetunes charts! I Love Techno

One of the worlds' biggest techno party's is about to take off again! I'm again impressed by the killer line-up they presented this year. Great thing about the ILT line up is that it always gives an insight in the future of electronic dance music. They pick up on new styles that are rapidly gaining popularity very quick. This years' line up is no exception. The very best in dubstep are represented in the ILT 2010 line up, really showing how fast dubstep is growing in popularity with the masses.

h00kers of House - october 2010!

Wow, is it me or is time actually going really fast?! Last month was a busy month for us with a gig every weekend! We enjoyed it very much and we want more!!

It's time for the next h00kers of House. This time we invited 2 guest dj's instead of one, so this edition promisess to be a really phat one!
One of the dj's we invited is J-Fluence. He is working really hard on productions and plays on a regular basis at Radio Hi-Tec. His style could best be described as the really dirty house sound with influences from hiphop and R&B!

The other dj is called 'Auditory Movement'and he will play B2B with us; dial D for Deejays. He is kind of a freshie to the house genre but he is a real talent with excellent mixing qualities!

Make sure you visit our fully-packed-party on the 16th of october in Kafee de Splinter - Venlo and get wild, sexy & crazy!!

The party starts at 23.00 and ends at 03.45.

Something different!

So, at our h00kers of House party (which was really nice btw) I spoke to some Russian dude. He didn't like the dubstep though and would like to hear something more trancy. That's why I'm posting this one now.
Besides house, disco and electro I play trance music under a different alias which is called 'Results May Vary'.

I have some other, older mixes too if you like this one. Just let my know, and I will put those online too!

His Majesty Andre

I was checking out His Majesty Andre's and I saw he uploaded some new cool tunes!
He did a nice remix from Voodoo Chilli's 'Love song' and I liked his remix from Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. That one is a little bit more poppy than you might be used to from him.

Valtifest 2010: Partyreport

Last weekend I went down to Valtifest in Amsterdam. It's one of my annual 'can't-miss-out-on-it' party's.
Valtifest is always full of creativity and fun/interesting people to watch. This year wasn't any different. Just watch the little partyreport from NLtracks. Unfortunately it's completely in Dutch, but it'll sure give you an impression of what Valtifest is like.
Before you start thinking "what's with the goofy outfits?" This year's edition was themed: It's a religion.

Machinedrum - Many Faces EP

Time to post something else! I had this one on my computer for about a week or so, but it took some time to grow on me. I really like the dreamy vibe on some of the tracks on this EP (Mean Mean is just awesome!). Overall the EP is nothing you can describe in one word. It has just too many different elements in it. Asset Kick-Off Party

This party is kind-of-a big deal for us since this will be our biggest gig yet. We're closing off the party from 02.00 till 04.00 right after DJ Roog, one of the biggest in the Dutch house scene.
Sound to us like it'll be one-helluva party with some 700 people in front of us! We'll be sure to get our game on and deliver a bangin' set!
Entrance will be €5,- in advance. and €7,50 at the door.

After a short summer break h00kers of House is back!
This time with a special Dubstep edition. It's going to be big!
We've invited DJ Goulash to bring that bangin' dubstep and drum 'n bass to the Splinters' dancefloor. Of course dial D for Deejays will be there to support him with top-notch house and electro music.

Things I'd like to see remixed

This song reminds me so much of a 90's disco style song, love the vocal and it's breakdown.


Moloko - Forever More

another strong vocal track. This one I heard this morning on Belgian radio. Made me realise I completely forgot this track exists, and what a wonderful song it is. Here is a live recording from Exit Festival 2003.

'Bout time we posted something again...
So we'll plug you some of our favourite tracks at the moment.

First up, Dada Life's Remix of Symphonies, it's pure excitement and I'm sure any club will go off the wall when this one is played!

Second, is quite a unique but kinda weird South African group. They're called 'die antwoord' which means the answer in dutch. Their style is somewhat to be described as "punkass(wannabe???)gangstaelectrobasslinerap. Their lyrics are filthy, their beats are PHAT! And they have one helluva misplaced attitude! We love it!

And last, a nice electro house track you will certainly hear us play. Love how this seemingly innocent filtered house track morphs into a peaktime electro banger!
